Fine dining in the restaurant

Enjoy top Atlantic cuisine prepared by our chef Mario. A small selection of classics and specialities from our varied menu:

  • Bife a Keka (sirloin steak, king prawns stuffed with cheese breaded, in cream and garlic sauce)
  • Ri-Fi-Fi (grilled steak with prawns in lemon and garlic sauce)

  • Biscuit mousse
  • Profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce

Wines

A very varied wine list includes wines from the Douro, Dão, Alentejo, Bairrada and Estremadura regions of Portugal as well as a choice selection from the vineyards of France, Italy, Chile and Australia. Some well known names from Portugal include, Quinta do Carmo, Vinha da Tapada, Quinta dos 4 Ventos, Quinta da Bacalhõa. We also stock new wines from small vineyards, such as Pequeno Pintor and Howard\'s Folly, made from the Trincadeira, Aragones, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga National grape.

Snack food and drinks in the bar/garden

A wide and varied range of snack foods including some of our very popular specialties:

  • Picado (traditional Madeira dish made with cubed beef, chips, fried maize in a tasty sauce)
  • Prego ( steak, bacon, cheese in locally made bread) served with chips.
  • Octopus, Shell fish, Prawns, Spiced sausage, Sea snails

Drinks

The house special is a Jug of White/Red Wine Sangria, or Passion Fruit Sangria, a real treat!
A glass of VdR Poncha served hot or cold (made with a base of Whisky and Passion Fruit) or a traditional Poncha (made with Aguardente, honey and lemon) is always available!
