You can also catch the nº 19 Bus from Avenida do Mar (the sea avenue) which stops right outside the door. Buses run every 30 minutes - last bus back to Funchal at around midnight.

Travelling by car via the motorway the exit for Vila da Rocha is nº 12 - sign for Campo da Barca, keep right and then a left turn upwards into Luso Brasileira -follow sign for Quinta da Monte - just 8 minutes drive from Funchal centre. Parking is available at Vila da Rocha.
